The Tower of London promises to bring magic this Christmas to its visitors. The majestic fortress will display spectacularly illuminated animal themes and festive decorations. Visitors will get a glimpse of the animals that once called these walls their homes, ranging from beasts such as polar bears to majestic elephants. The Tower of London is an ideal experience which family and friends can enjoy during this year’s festive season.
Things to do
The Tower of London is home to the famous ravens that are known as guardians of the Tower. The current ravens are named Georgie, Poppy, Rocky, Erin, Jubilee and Gripp. It is said that the Tower of London and the British Monarchy would fall if the ravens left the fortress. Visitors will also be dazzled by the breathtaking collection of over 23,578 crown jewels. These gemstones hold religious and cultural significance to the British Monarchy and are still used in national ceremonies.
Opening times and dates
The Christmas festivities at the Tower of London will run from 1st December 2021 – 3rd January 2022. Members will gain free entry, while adults will be charged £29.90, while children will be charged £14.90 for entry tickets. Entry times are from 10 AM – 4.30 PM, with the last admission being at 4.00 PM. The Tower of London will be closed on 24, 25, and 26 December and 1st January.
